On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary because of differing user bases, liquidity, and market design. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might attract more local fans, skewing its probability toward a specific team, while the other could reflect international or broader betting trends. Additionally, each venue’s fee structure and order-book depth influence how prices discover equilibrium, leading to visible gaps between the two.
