This event group covers the outcome of a single NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) game between the Yokohama BayStars and Yomiuri Giants scheduled for June 28, 2026 at 5:15 AM EDT. The markets track which team wins the game, with specific handling for postponements, cancellations, and ties.
In the upcoming NPB game, scheduled for June 28 at 5:15AM ET: If the Yokohama BayStars win, the market will resolve to "Yokohama BayStars". If the Yomiuri Giants win, the market will resolve to "Yomiuri Giants". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50.
Resolution is based on the final result of the Yomiuri Giants vs Yokohama DeNA BayStars Japan NPB game originally scheduled for Jun 28, 2026 at 5:15 AM EDT. If the game is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled game concludes within two days. Should the game be cancelled or rescheduled beyond two days, the market resolves to a fair price per standard procedures. In the event of a tie, the market resolves to 50/50.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, which can cause temporary price gaps. Kalshi and Polymarket also operate under distinct regulatory frameworks and settlement rules, influencing how traders assess risk and position sizing. Liquidity depth varies between venues—one platform may have more active volume at certain price levels, creating friction in arbitrage. Geographic trader concentration, platform-specific tools, and historical user bases also contribute to pricing variation. These gaps typically narrow as traders exploit them, but they persist long enough to reward careful cross-platform monitoring.
Key catalysts include roster changes, injury announcements to star players, recent team performance streaks, and head-to-head historical matchup data. Weather conditions on game day—particularly wind and temperature at the stadium—can shift expectations for offensive output and pitcher performance. Betting line movement at major sportsbooks often precedes prediction market shifts, so monitoring those changes offers early signal. Team momentum, playoff implications, and any last-minute lineup adjustments announced before first pitch will likely trigger repricing. Trading volume typically spikes in the final hours as new information crystallizes and late-arriving traders position ahead of the game.
