The market resolves based on the exact set score of the Yibing Wu vs Novak Djokovic professional tennis match in the 2026 Wimbledon Men Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur due to player injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation before play begins, the market resolves to a fair price. Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real financial skin in the game. Traders in this market are motivated to price outcomes accurately to profit, creating prices that can sometimes lead or lag behind sportsbook adjustments. Comparing the two can reveal valuable insights: if this market prices a particular exact score significantly differently than major sportsbooks, it may signal where informed traders see value or where public perception differs from sharp consensus.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for each possible exact-score outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of any outcome reflects the highest buy order and lowest sell order at any given moment, creating a dynamic spread. As new trades execute, prices update in real time, and the collective trading activity reveals the market's aggregate probability estimate for each scoreline. Traders profit by buying outcomes they believe are underpriced and selling those they believe are overpriced, which naturally drives prices toward fair value over time.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the Wu vs Djokovic match concludes and the final exact score is confirmed. The outcome is determined by the actual set score recorded at the end of the match and verified against credible public sources covering professional tennis. All open positions settle based on whether the exact scoreline matched the outcome specified in each contract. Traders should monitor the match schedule and any official updates from the tournament or governing bodies to anticipate resolution timing.
Several factors can shift prices in this market before the match begins. Injury announcements or fitness updates about either player will trigger repricing, as will recent performance data, head-to-head history, and surface conditions at the venue. Changes in player ranking, motivation, or tournament context—such as whether the match is early-round or late-stage—also influence trader expectations of the likely scoreline. News about court speed, weather forecasts, or scheduling delays can alter perceived advantage. As the match approaches, any official confirmation of player participation or last-minute withdrawals will cause sharp repricing across all exact-score outcomes.
