Description

In the upcoming VCT best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-07-22 09:10 UTC: if Wolves Esports wins the series, the market will resolve to "Wolves Esports"; if XLG Gaming wins the series, the market will resolve to "XLG Gaming". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official VCT broadcast and https://valorantesports.com/; community coverage on vlr.gg may be used as a supplementary source. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Frequently asked questions

On Opinion, the dashboard for this matchup displays real-time odds and price movements as traders buy and sell shares tied to each possible outcome. You can monitor the current implied probability for each team, review historical price charts, and track 24-hour trading volume of $0 to gauge market activity and conviction. The interface updates continuously, letting you see how sentiment shifts as new information emerges about team form, roster changes, or pre-match analysis. This live data helps you understand both the consensus expectation and the confidence level behind it.

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets rely on traders' collective willingness to buy and sell at specific prices. This market reflects real-money commitments from participants who profit by being right, which can create sharper, more responsive pricing than traditional sportsbooks—especially as new information surfaces. However, sportsbook odds benefit from professional oddsmakers and high liquidity, so neither venue is universally more accurate. Comparing both sources gives you a fuller picture of where informed opinion stands.

On Opinion, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an open order book. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one outcome, and the current market price reflects the last trade executed. As new trades occur, prices adjust instantly, so the implied probability you see is always the most recent consensus. The spread between bid and ask prices shows how tight or loose liquidity is at any moment, helping you gauge execution costs if you want to enter or exit a position.

This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the event concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result, ensuring clarity and fairness for all traders. Until that point, prices will fluctuate as new information—such as team announcements, injury updates, or expert analysis—influences trader expectations. Resolution is automatic once the event is finalized, so you'll know exactly when and how your position settles.

Several catalysts could shift prices significantly before Jul 22, 2026. Roster announcements, player injuries, or surprise roster swaps can alter perceived team strength. Recent tournament results, scrim performance leaks, or coaching changes often trigger sharp repricing. Expert analysis, community sentiment shifts, and betting syndicate activity can also move the needle. Closer to match day, pre-game interviews, final team confirmations, and last-minute meta shifts in the game itself may drive final adjustments. Monitoring esports news outlets and team social channels helps you stay ahead of these moves.
