On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker that balances supply and demand for outcome shares. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the collective assessment of all active traders, with each transaction updating the price in real time. As more capital flows toward one outcome, the implied probability shifts accordingly. This continuous pricing mechanism means the market can adjust rapidly if new information about either player emerges before the match begins.
This market resolves around Jul 8, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official winner of the singles competition. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as odds fluctuate with breaking news, player form updates, or shifts in market sentiment. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the event concludes and the result is publicly announced.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the match takes place. Injury announcements or withdrawal news involving either player would trigger sharp repricing. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, or performance trends in the weeks leading up to the event often influence trader positioning. Changes in seeding, bracket placement, or playing conditions may also prompt market adjustments. Social media sentiment, expert commentary, and betting activity on traditional sportsbooks can serve as leading indicators that move this market as well.
