Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Dang Qiu vs Csaba Andras match displays real-time odds and price movements as traders buy and sell shares. You can monitor the current implied probability of each outcome, historical price charts, and trading activity to see how market sentiment evolves. This live data helps traders assess consensus expectations and identify potential value before the event concludes.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and profit, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money risk. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper or earlier signals because participants have direct financial exposure to accuracy. Comparing this market's implied probability to traditional sportsbook lines may reveal discrepancies worth investigating, though both sources aim to reflect underlying event likelihood.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism where traders buy and sell outcome shares directly from a liquidity pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the ratio of shares outstanding for each outcome; as traders accumulate shares, the price adjusts automatically according to the platform's pricing formula. This continuous pricing model allows real-time discovery and ensures that the odds you see represent the marginal cost of the next trade, not a static quote.

This market resolves around Jul 6, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official result of the table tennis competition, confirmed through standard sports reporting and event records. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges. Resolution is automatic once the event outcome is confirmed, and all positions settle according to the winning outcome.

Several factors could shift trader sentiment before resolution. Recent form and head-to-head records between the players may influence expectations as the match date approaches. Injury reports, training updates, or public statements from either competitor could trigger repricing. Tournament context—such as seeding, bracket position, or prior round performance—may also matter. Additionally, as the match time nears, late-breaking news or odds from traditional sportsbooks could prompt traders to adjust positions, creating volatility in this market's price.
