In the upcoming EFL Championship game between Wrexham AFC and Burnley FC, scheduled for September 8, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Wrexham AFC vs. Burnley FC match originally scheduled for September 8, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect the aggregated beliefs of active traders rather than set odds from bookmakers. While sportsbooks may favor a draw or a narrow win based on their models, prediction markets can price in sharper or more nuanced outcomes as real-time data and sentiment shift. Traders should compare both to spot potential value, especially when public polls or recent performance suggest a divergence.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders manually place bets for each possible exact score, which directly sets the odds through supply and demand. The current top outcome reflects the balance of buy and sell orders for that scoreline. As new information about team form, injuries, or weather emerges, traders adjust their positions, causing prices to shift dynamically. This decentralized pricing captures crowd wisdom without centralized control.
This market resolves around Sep 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the match concludes and the official final score is reported by credible sports authorities. The exact score recorded at the end of regular time — before any extra periods or penalties — determines the result. As long as the score is publicly verifiable, the market will close and payouts issued automatically based on the winning bets.
Injuries to key players, changes in coaching strategy, or weather conditions that affect gameplay could all shift this market. Additionally, strong recent form from either team, shifting fan sentiment, or early pre-match betting trends may cause traders to re-evaluate the likelihood of various scorelines. Media reports and analyst updates also influence trader behavior, often leading to rapid price adjustments as new information is incorporated into bets.
