This market determines which wide receiver will achieve the highest fantasy points in a specific week of the NFL season using a standard scoring system. The scoring includes points for receptions, yards gained, touchdowns, and other in-game achievements as defined by the chosen fantasy platform.
Each market resolves based on whether the specified player finishes highest in total full-PPR fantasy points among all wide receivers in Week 3 of the 2026 NFL regular season. Points are calculated using Sleeper's default full-PPR scoring system, which awards points for receptions, receiving yards, touchdowns, and select special teams contributions. If a player does not participate in the week, they receive zero points. In the event of a tie for the highest score among eligible players, the market resolves to 1/N, where N is the number of tied players, and no holder receives the full $1 payout minus the Yes payout. All players are ranked collectively, regardless of whether they have an individual market listed, and player eligibility is determined by Sleeper at the time of market expiration.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by house biases or initial public perception. While sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, leading to a dynamic pricing mechanism. It’s common to see discrepancies emerge as new information becomes available, with this market sometimes anticipating shifts before traditional sportsbooks adjust their lines. Keep in mind that prediction markets focus on the probability of an event, while sportsbooks offer payouts based on those probabilities.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief in a particular wide receiver leading in fantasy points for Week 3. The price of each contract reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the field. Higher volume generally indicates greater confidence in a particular outcome, while price fluctuations can signal changing expectations based on news or analysis. The market’s efficiency is driven by the incentives for traders to accurately predict the outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the Week 3 NFL games are completed and the final fantasy point totals for each wide receiver are verifiable from credible public reporting. The wide receiver with the highest fantasy point total, as calculated by standard fantasy football scoring rules, will be considered the winner of this market. The resolution will be based on official NFL statistics and widely recognized fantasy football platforms, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the outcome.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Injury reports are critical, as the status of key wide receivers will heavily influence their potential fantasy point output. Unexpected changes in team matchups or offensive strategies could also shift expectations. News regarding quarterback performance or changes in offensive play-calling will also be closely watched. Finally, any late-breaking information about player health or potential playing time will likely cause price adjustments as traders react to the new data and reassess the probabilities of each outcome.
