This market assesses whether specific wide receivers will rank among the top five performers in full-PPR fantasy points during Week 2 of the 2026 NFL regular season. Rankings are determined by total points accumulated through standard receiving, rushing, passing, and special teams statistics as tracked by Sleeper, including overtime gameplay. Players who do not participate in the week are considered to have scored zero points.
Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the named wide receiver finishes within the top five in total full-PPR fantasy points for all wide receivers in Week 2 of the 2026 NFL regular season, using Sleeper's scoring system that includes overtime. All eligible wide receivers are ranked, even those without a listed market. If a player does not play during the week, they receive zero points. Dead-heat rules apply when multiple players tie at the qualifying position; in such cases, each tied player's contract settles at a fractional value (1/N, where N is the number of tied players). The scoring format follows Sleeper’s default full-PPR system, which awards points for receptions, receiving and rushing yards, touchdowns, and special teams contributions, while deducting points for fumbles lost and missed field goals.
Generally, prediction markets and sportsbooks often arrive at similar conclusions regarding probabilities, but they can diverge based on differing information sources and participant biases. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, factoring in a 'vig' or commission, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from those seen here, it might indicate a potential opportunity for informed traders to capitalize on discrepancies; however, it's crucial to remember that both represent probabilities, not guarantees of what will happen.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of a specific wide receiver being among the top 5 in Week 2 fantasy points. As more traders buy a contract, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability of that outcome. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price of a contract directly corresponds to the implied probability of the associated outcome, allowing traders to express their beliefs and profit from correctly anticipating the final results.
This market resolves around Sep 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final fantasy point totals for each wide receiver in Week 2 will be used to determine which players finish in the top 5. The resolution will be based on standard fantasy scoring rules as defined by major fantasy football platforms, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the winning outcomes. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Kalshi once the data is verified.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift probabilities in this market. Injury reports are a significant catalyst, as the status of key wide receivers directly impacts their expected fantasy point production. Unexpected changes in game matchups, such as a favorable or unfavorable defensive opponent, can also move the market. Furthermore, news regarding quarterback performance or offensive scheme adjustments could influence traders' assessments. Finally, late-breaking news about player health or depth chart changes will likely lead to significant price adjustments before this market resolves.
