Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and aim to profit from balanced betting, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a large number of people believe one player will win, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly, potentially diverging from sportsbook lines. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast events, especially when there's significant public interest and informed traders are involved, but sportsbook odds still provide a useful point of comparison.
