PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms employ identical elimination-stage logic with consistent edge-case handling for disqualification, withdrawal, and tournament incompletion, all anchored to official FIFA data.Primary resolution logic: Official FIFA records (fifa.com); credible consensus reporting if official sources unavailable

Core resolution logic:

  • Switzerland eliminated in Group Stage resolves Yes for Group Stage market
  • Switzerland eliminated in Round of 32 resolves Yes for Round of 32 market
  • Switzerland eliminated in Round of 16 resolves Yes for Round of 16 market
  • Switzerland eliminated in Quarterfinals resolves Yes for Quarterfinals market
  • Switzerland eliminated in Semifinals resolves Yes for Semifinals market
  • Switzerland eliminated in Final resolves Yes for Final market
  • Switzerland wins the tournament resolves Yes for Champion market and No for all elimination markets
  • Only one elimination stage market resolves Yes; all others resolve No

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Disqualification or Withdrawal: If Switzerland is disqualified, withdraws, or is removed from the tournament, resolution follows the furthest completed round reached by Switzerland based on official FIFA information or credible consensus reporting.
  • Tournament Incompletion: If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is not finished for any reason, markets resolve according to the furthest completed round reached by Switzerland per best available official information.
  • Tournament Cancellation or Late Postponement: If the tournament is cancelled in full or postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, markets resolve to Other/N/A.
  • Multiple Outcome Exclusivity: Exactly one stage market will resolve Yes for any given tournament outcome; all other stage markets resolve No. Champion and elimination markets are mutually exclusive.
Timing: Resolution occurs upon completion of the stage at which Switzerland is eliminated or upon tournament conclusion if Switzerland wins. Final resolution deadline is the official end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market will resolve according to the stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at which Switzerland is eliminated. If Switzerland wins the tournament, this market will resolve to 'Champion'. If Switzerland is disqualified, withdraws, is removed from the tournament, or the tournament is partially completed and not finished for any reason, this market will resolve according to the furthest completed round reached by Switzerland based on the best available official information. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled in full, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to 'Other'. The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Kalshi

These markets collectively track Switzerland's progression through the 2026 Men's FIFA World Cup tournament structure. A team's stage of elimination is determined by the farthest stage reached prior to any loss, withdrawal, forfeit, or disqualification. If a team loses in the Semifinals, the Semifinals market resolves to Yes regardless of third-place match results. If a team withdraws or is disqualified after advancing past a stage, the next stage they would have faced is considered their elimination point. For example, withdrawal after winning a Round of 32 match means the Round of 16 market resolves to Yes. The Outright Winner market resolves to Yes only if Switzerland wins the Final, while the Runner-Up market resolves to Yes if Switzerland loses in the Final.

Frequently asked questions

This dashboard aggregates real-time odds and trading activity across Polymarket and Kalshi for Switzerland's progression through the 2026 Men's FIFA World Cup knockout stages. It tracks whether Switzerland advances past the Round of 32, reaches the quarterfinals, semifinals, and ultimately wins the tournament. By monitoring both platforms simultaneously, you see consensus probability estimates, trading volume across venues, and how market sentiment shifts as matches approach and play out. This multi-platform view reveals where smart money is concentrated and identifies arbitrage opportunities between exchanges.

Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi often reflect sharper, more dynamic pricing than traditional sportsbooks because traders can enter and exit positions continuously and profit from mispricings. Sportsbooks set fixed odds designed to balance liability and lock in margin, whereas prediction markets aggregate dispersed information from thousands of participants. For Switzerland's World Cup elimination stage, market odds may diverge from sportsbook lines due to different liquidity, trader sophistication, and real-time recalibration. Comparing both sources helps identify which venue offers better value for your view.

Key catalysts include Switzerland's group-stage performance, injury updates to star players, tactical shifts in coaching staff, and head-to-head matchups against seeded opponents in the knockout draw. Qualifying-round results and FIFA rankings will shape initial odds. Once the tournament begins, each match outcome directly impacts Switzerland's survival probability. Media narratives around team form, morale, and historical performance in knockout stages also drive trader sentiment. Late-breaking news on squad composition or visa issues could trigger sharp repricing across Polymarket and Kalshi.
