This event group resolves to whichever team finishes in second place in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage (June 11-27, 2026). The markets track whether Brazil, Scotland, Morocco, Haiti, or another country will claim that second-place finish, with resolution determined by official FIFA standings and tiebreak procedures.
This market will resolve according to the team that finishes second in Group C in the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage, scheduled for June 11-27, 2026. If multiple teams tie for second place, this market will resolve according to the official tiebreak procedure of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. If the World Cup group stage is cancelled, postponed after July 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no second-place team declared for this group within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA (https://www.fifa.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Prediction markets like Polymarket and Predict often reflect different risk profiles and participant bases than traditional sportsbooks. Market odds are set by traders and bettors directly, not by oddsmakers, which can lead to faster price discovery on breaking news or shifts in team form. Sportsbooks typically build in larger margins and may lag behind live market sentiment. Comparing the two reveals arbitrage opportunities and shows whether professional bettors or casual traders are more bullish on specific Group C contenders. Prediction markets tend to be more efficient for long-dated events like the World Cup.
Team roster announcements, injuries to key players, and qualifying tournament results will shift odds as the 2026 World Cup approaches. Friendly match performances, coaching changes, and tactical adjustments signal competitive strength. Draws and seeding outcomes in the final tournament bracket affect Group C composition and perceived difficulty. Head-to-head matchups during the group stage itself will trigger sharp repricing as actual results emerge. Late-breaking news on player form, suspension risks, or team morale can swing markets significantly in the weeks and days before matches kick off.
