This event group compares the total goals scored by Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane across all matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup main tournament. Markets resolve based on which player scores more goals, with tie outcomes explicitly handled. Both platforms use official FIFA data as the primary resolution source.
This market will resolve to “Mbappe” if Kylian Mbappe scores more goals than Harry Kane through all rounds of the main tournament at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “Kane”. In the event of a tie this market will resolve to 50-50. If a player withdraws, or does not play for any reason, this market will resolve in favor of the opposing player. If both players do not play for any reason, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if it cannot be determined which player scored more goals within that timeframe, this market will resolve to 50-50. The primary resolution source will be the official results published by FIFA.
This market will resolve to "YES" if Harry Kane scores a strictly greater number of goals than Kylian Mbappé across all matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup main tournament. Goals scored in penalty shootouts do not count toward this market. This market will resolve as soon as both Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé have completed their participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup and official final goal totals are available. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2026, 23:59 UTC, or official final goal totals for Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé are not available within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other." The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA.com; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Prediction markets like Polymarket and Limitless are often more efficient than traditional sportsbooks because they aggregate real-time trader conviction and allow continuous price discovery. Sportsbooks typically set fixed odds with built-in margins, whereas prediction markets adjust dynamically based on order flow. For the Mbappe versus Kane goal race, prediction market odds may reflect sharper, more granular probability estimates—especially as the tournament approaches and new injury or form data surfaces. Comparing the two venues can reveal whether sportsbooks are lagging market consensus or pricing in different risk assumptions.
Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price differences between Polymarket and Limitless typically stem from variations in liquidity, user base composition, and fee structures. Polymarket may attract different trader demographics or have deeper order books in certain outcomes, pushing odds in one direction. Regulatory constraints, settlement rule interpretation, or platform-specific incentives can also create temporary spreads. Additionally, timing lags in information flow between venues and differences in how each platform weights recent betting activity can cause Polymarket and Limitless to diverge. These gaps often present arbitrage opportunities for alert traders.
Key catalysts include injury announcements affecting either player's availability or fitness heading into the tournament. Team roster changes, coaching decisions, and tactical shifts that alter playing time or positioning will impact scoring potential. Pre-tournament friendlies and qualifying performance provide form signals. During the World Cup itself, early group-stage results, goal-scoring streaks, and knockout advancement will drive rapid repricing. International team dynamics, such as whether France or England advance deep into the tournament, directly influence how many matches each player contests. Media narratives and betting flow can also accelerate odds movement.
