Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and operate under different constraints. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their books and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets reflect pure trader belief—there is no house edge or built-in margin. Traders on Limitless can adjust prices continuously based on new information, team news, or injury updates, sometimes moving faster than traditional sportsbooks. Over time, prediction markets have proven competitive with or more accurate than sportsbook lines, especially as more informed participants enter the market.
On Limitless, this market is priced through an order-book model where traders directly buy and sell outcome shares at prices they set themselves. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative bids and asks from all participants, creating a dynamic equilibrium that updates with every trade. As new information emerges—team lineups, weather, recent form—traders adjust their positions, and prices shift accordingly. This decentralized pricing mechanism means the odds you see represent genuine market consensus rather than a fixed algorithmic spread.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the match concludes and the final result is confirmed. The outcome is determined by the official match result—whether Argentina wins, Cape Verde Islands wins, or the match ends in a draw. Resolution is verified against credible public sources reporting the final score. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The exact timing of payout may depend on Limitless's confirmation process following the event.
Several factors could shift odds before the final whistle. Team news—injuries to key players, lineup announcements, or tactical changes—often triggers sharp price moves. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions on match day all influence trader sentiment. Betting syndicates and sharp money entering the market can also drive rapid repricing. Early match events, such as an early goal or red card, will be reflected immediately in live trading. Additionally, any official statements from either federation or late-breaking developments could sway the crowd's assessment of each outcome's likelihood.
