These markets ask whether a single player will score in every knockout-stage match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Kalshi frames it as any player across all teams; Limitless specifies Lionel Messi and Argentina only. Both require goals in all knockout rounds (Round of 32 through Final), with extra-time goals counting but penalty-shootout goals excluded.
If any individual player records a goal in every knockout stage match including the Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Final in the 2026 Men's FIFA World Cup, then the market resolves to Yes.
This market will resolve to "YES" if Lionel Messi scores at least one goal in every knockout-stage match Argentina plays at the 2026 FIFA World Cup (Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, Third-place match, or Final). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "NO." Goals will be determined using the official FIFA.com match report for the relevant Argentina match. Goals scored in extra time count. Goals scored in penalty shootouts do not count. Own goals do not count as Messi goals. This market will resolve as soon as Messi fails to score in any Argentina knockout match, or after Argentina's final match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup if Messi scored in every knockout game. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled or postponed after July 31, 2026, 23:59 UTC, this market will resolve to NO. The resolution source for this market is official match reports from FIFA.com — however, if the data on the website is unavailable for 72 hours after the relevant match is completed, a consensus of credible reporting will be used.
Kalshi and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Kalshi and Limitless attract different trader demographics and operate under distinct rule sets. Kalshi offers a broad yes/no on any player scoring in all knockout matches, while Limitless specializes in player-specific outcomes like Messi or other stars. Liquidity pools, fee structures, and user base expertise vary between platforms, causing price divergence. Additionally, Limitless's narrower scope (one player versus the field) naturally commands higher implied probability. Monitoring both venues reveals arbitrage opportunities and helps you identify which platform's crowd is pricing in more optimism about sustained scoring performance across the knockout rounds.
Key catalysts include squad announcements and injury updates for top scorers, which directly affect whether elite players can participate in every knockout match. Early tournament performance in the group stage signals which teams advance and which players stay healthy. Player transfers or form changes in club competitions leading up to the World Cup influence trader confidence. Major upsets or surprise eliminations alter the pool of potential scorers. Real-time goal-scoring streaks during the knockout stage itself will drive sharp price moves as traders update odds based on whether any player remains on pace. Media narratives around specific strikers and team strategies also shape sentiment and trading volume throughout the event window.
