Description

This event group covers the professional tennis match between Tyra Caterina Grant and Marie Bouzkova scheduled for Wimbledon 2026 Women's Singles Round of 64 on July 1, 2026. Multiple prediction markets track different aspects of this match: whether it will be completed under normal play rules, and who will advance as the winner.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket's completion-focused market (YES only if match played to normal completion) diverges from Limitless and Kalshi, which resolve to a winner regardless of match format (including walkovers, retirements, defaults). This creates two distinct settlement outcomes for the same underlying event.Hero tip: Polymarket's completion market and the winner markets on Limitless/Kalshi are NOT equivalent. A retirement or walkover will resolve NO on Polymarket but YES (to the advancing player) on Limitless. If trading the Polymarket completion contract, price in the probability of a non-normal-play outcome. If trading winner markets, Limitless is more inclusive of all advancement scenarios.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket (Completed Match): Resolves YES only if all games and sets are completed through normal play. Resolves NO for walkover, retirement, default, disqualification, cancellation, tie, or delay beyond 7 days. Key Quote: 'If a forfeit of any kind occurs, including but not limited to a walkover or retirement, this market will resolve No.'
  • Polymarket (Winner): Resolves to advancing player if match begins but is not completed due to retirement, default, or disqualification. Resolves 50-50 on walkover (pre-match withdrawal). Key Quote: 'If the match begins but is not completed, and one player advances due to the opponent's retirement, default, or disqualification, this market will resolve to the player who advances.'
  • Limitless: Resolves to the officially declared winner regardless of match format. Explicitly includes walkover, retirement, withdrawal, default, and disqualification as valid winner-determination scenarios. Key Quote: 'a player officially declared the winner of the match will be considered to have defeated the opponent, including in cases of walkover, retirement, withdrawal, default, or disqualification.'
  • Kalshi: Resolves YES if either player wins after a ball has been played. The 'after a ball has been played' language implies normal play is required, but explicit treatment of forfeits (walkover, retirement, default) is not stated. Key Quote: 'If Tyra Caterina Grant wins the Grant vs Bouzkova professional tennis match in the 2026 Wimbledon Women Singles Round Of 64 after a ball has been played, then the market resolves to Yes.'

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets rely on trader consensus to discover true probability. This market's odds may diverge from major sportsbooks due to differences in liquidity, bet limits, and the composition of each venue's participant base. Comparing both sources helps identify mispricing and sharpen your edge.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts distinct trader demographics, regulatory frameworks, and fee structures that influence how quickly new information gets priced in. Kalshi and Limitless may also differ in their contract specifications, liquidity depth, and settlement rules, causing temporary spreads between them. Monitoring both venues helps you identify which platform is leading price discovery and whether arbitrage exists.

Player injury announcements, recent tournament performance, head-to-head records, and court surface conditions are primary catalysts that shift odds. Withdrawal or lineup changes would trigger sharp repricing, as would unexpected results in lead-up matches. Weather forecasts closer to the event date and late-breaking news about either competitor's fitness or mental state often drive final market adjustments before the match begins.
