Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform operates its own liquidity pool and user base, so order flow timing, trader composition, and fee structures create natural price variance. Polymarket may attract different demographics or trading strategies than Predict, leading to temporary mispricings. Platform-specific mechanics—such as liquidity depth, withdrawal policies, or promotional incentives—can also shift where informed traders concentrate capital. These gaps typically narrow as arbitrageurs exploit them, but during low-volume periods or ahead of major news, divergence can persist. Monitoring both venues helps you identify fleeting opportunities and understand where consensus is strongest.
