Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform operates independent liquidity pools, fee structures, and user bases, so identical events can trade at different odds temporarily. Polymarket may attract retail traders focused on short-term moves, while Limitless draws institutional flow with longer holding periods. Withdrawal delays, platform-specific incentives, and differences in order-book depth also create arbitrage windows. These gaps typically narrow as sophisticated traders exploit mispricings, but they rarely vanish entirely due to friction costs and regulatory constraints on cross-platform hedging.
Pre-match injury announcements, withdrawal news, or late coaching changes can trigger sharp repricing. Court surface conditions, weather forecasts, and recent head-to-head records also influence trader positioning. Live match momentum—breaks of serve, set wins, or visible fatigue—drives intraday volatility as bettors update their conviction. Media coverage highlighting either player's form or psychological factors may shift sentiment. Betting syndicates and sharp money often move the market in final hours before play, so watch for late volume spikes and odds compression as the start time approaches.
