Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Platform differences in user base, liquidity, fee structures, and settlement rules can create pricing gaps even for identical events. Polymarket may attract professional traders focused on tennis analytics, while Kalshi draws a broader retail audience with different risk appetites. Regulatory frameworks and order-flow mechanics also vary between venues, causing one platform to price the outcome more bullishly or bearishly than the other. These gaps present arbitrage opportunities for traders monitoring both sites.
