PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket and Limitless define winner outcomes differently (Limitless includes forfeits as valid wins; Polymarket treats some forfeits as 50-50 for set/game markets). Kalshi provides only game-count thresholds without source specification or edge-case guidance. Set/game markets on Polymarket have 50-50 fallback; Kalshi does not explicitly state fallback logic.Hero tip: For match winner: use Limitless definition (any official declaration counts). For set/game markets: Polymarket's 50-50 rule for incomplete matches is clearest; verify Kalshi game counts independently against ATP official records. If match does not complete, Polymarket set/game markets resolve 50-50, but Kalshi thresholds may be ambiguous—escalate to manual review.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Match winner resolves to player who advances (including retirement/default/disqualification). Set and game markets resolve 50-50 if not completed, canceled, or delayed beyond 7 days. Primary source: ATP Tour official information; fallback: credible reporting consensus. Quote: 'If the match begins but is not completed, and one player advances due to the opponent's retirement, default, or disqualification, this market will resolve to the player who advances.'
  • Kalshi: Three binary game-count thresholds (32.5, 37.5, 42.5 games completed in full match). No explicit primary source, fallback logic, or edge-case handling stated. Quote: 'If the number of completed games in the full match is above 32.5... then the market resolves to Yes.'
  • Limitless: Match winner resolves to any player officially declared winner, explicitly including walkover, retirement, withdrawal, default, or disqualification. No 50-50 fallback mentioned. Quote: 'For the purposes of this market, a player officially declared the winner of the match will be considered to have defeated the opponent, including in cases of walkover, retirement, withdrawal, default, or disqualification.'
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the tennis match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon ATP, originally scheduled for July 1, 2026 at 6:00AM ET. This market will resolve to 'Stefanos Tsitsipas' if Stefanos Tsitsipas advances against Novak Djokovic. This market will resolve to 'Novak Djokovic' if Novak Djokovic advances against Stefanos Tsitsipas. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one player advances due to the opponent's retirement, default, or disqualification, this market will resolve to the player who advances. If the match ends in a walkover (player withdraws before the start and the other advances automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the ATP Tour. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Kalshi

The event resolves based on the total number of completed games across the full match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Novak Djokovic in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 64. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play will resolve accordingly; those that cannot be settled will resolve to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.

Limitless

This market will resolve to "Stefanos Tsitsipas" if Stefanos Tsitsipas defeats Novak Djokovic in their Wimbledon match originally scheduled for July 1, 2026, 09:03 UTC. It will resolve to "Novak Djokovic" if Novak Djokovic defeats Stefanos Tsitsipas. For the purposes of this market, a player officially declared the winner of the match will be considered to have defeated the opponent, including in cases of walkover, retirement, withdrawal, default, or disqualification.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price outcomes through different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds based on internal models and manage liability across bettors; prediction markets rely on continuous trader participation and order-book dynamics. This market's pricing reflects real-time supply and demand from thousands of independent traders rather than a single bookmaker's risk assessment. Prediction market odds often incorporate faster-moving information and can diverge meaningfully from sportsbook lines, especially as match day approaches and new injury reports or conditions emerge.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform operates independently with its own liquidity pools, user base, and fee structures. Polymarket and Kalshi may attract traders with different risk appetites, information sets, or time horizons. Arbitrage opportunities between platforms are limited by withdrawal delays, trading fees, and slippage, so price gaps can persist. Regulatory differences and platform-specific incentives also shape how quickly each market reacts to breaking news or shifting sentiment about the match outcome.

Key catalysts include recent head-to-head performance, surface form on grass, injury announcements, and player fitness updates in the weeks leading up to the tournament. Court conditions, weather, and draw positioning can shift trader sentiment. Momentum from earlier rounds—if either player faces unexpected resistance or dominates—will likely trigger repricing. Pre-match commentary from analysts and any last-minute lineup changes or coaching adjustments may also drive volatility in this market as the event date approaches.
