Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and risk appetites, which naturally creates price variations. Kalshi and Limitless may also have distinct market structures, fee schedules, and user bases with varying levels of tennis expertise. Timing differences in information flow and order-book depth can cause one platform to lead or lag the other. These spreads typically narrow as traders arbitrage between venues, but temporary divergences offer opportunities to identify where conviction is strongest on either side.
Player injury reports, recent tournament performance, and head-to-head history are key catalysts that shift trader positioning. Court surface conditions, weather forecasts, and draw analysis can also influence market sentiment. News about either player's fitness, mental state, or coaching changes may trigger repricing. Major upsets in earlier rounds or unexpected withdrawals elsewhere in the draw could reshape perceptions of difficulty. Social media sentiment and expert commentary sometimes accelerate moves, especially if new information emerges about matchup dynamics or external factors affecting either competitor.
