This market will resolve to "Yes" if a new trailer or teaser for the listed title makes its first public appearance during San Diego Comic-Con 2026, currently scheduled to be held on July 22-26, 2026 at the San Diego Convention Center. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A qualifying trailer is promotional video footage for the listed movie, show, or video game that is either officially released online during the event or screened at the SDCC venue. In-venue screenings will be verified via consensus of credible reporting. Posters, still images, and behind-the-scenes clips alone do not qualify. Re-showing footage already public before the event does not qualify. Unauthorized leaks or bootleg recordings released prior to the event will not qualify on their own, but will not disqualify an official premiere during the event. A premiere will only qualify if it takes place on one of the calendar days of San Diego Comic-Con 2026, PT. If no qualifying premiere has occurred by the end of San Diego Comic-Con 2026 or August 31, 2026, 11:59 PM PT, whichever passes earlier, this market will resolve to "No". This market resolves immediately upon a qualifying premiere. The primary resolution source will be official information, statements, and releases from the studio or publisher; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Prediction markets like this one often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they aggregate real-money bets rather than expert opinion alone. Traders with skin in the game have strong incentives to price outcomes accurately, sometimes catching signals that analysts miss. However, analysts may incorporate qualitative context—studio strategy, franchise momentum, or insider knowledge—that the market hasn't yet priced in. Comparing this market's odds to entertainment industry commentary and studio statements can reveal where consensus is strong or where uncertainty remains. The gap between the two often narrows as the event date approaches and new information becomes public.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a fractional claim on the outcome, and the price you see reflects the ratio of yes to no shares in the pool. As traders buy shares betting the trailer will premiere, the yes price rises; conversely, selling pressure lowers it. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to breaking news, studio announcements, or shifts in Comic-Con scheduling. The spread between bid and ask prices tightens as volume increases, rewarding active traders with better execution.
This market resolves around Jul 26, 2026, after San Diego Comic-Con 2026 concludes. The outcome is determined by whether the specified trailer actually premieres during the event, verified against credible public reporting from the convention, studio announcements, or major entertainment news outlets. Once the event passes and the premiere status is confirmed, the market settles automatically. Traders holding winning shares receive their payout based on the final odds at resolution. The resolution window typically closes within days of the convention's end, allowing for thorough verification.
Several catalysts could shift odds significantly before resolution. Official Comic-Con scheduling announcements or studio confirmations about panel appearances directly impact expectations. Broader franchise news—box office performance, production updates, or leadership changes—can alter perceived momentum. Entertainment media coverage and social media speculation often precede formal announcements, moving traders to adjust positions early. Competing trailer announcements from rival studios may also influence the market, as studios sometimes coordinate reveals to maximize attention. Finally, any delays or cancellations affecting the convention itself would reshape all related markets. Monitoring entertainment news and Comic-Con official channels helps you stay ahead of these shifts.
