This group of markets focuses on predicting the exact final score of the League One soccer match between Wigan Athletic FC and Leyton Orient FC scheduled for August 22, 2026. The markets cover a range of possible scorelines, including specific outcomes and a catch-all 'Any Other Score' option.
In the upcoming League One game between Wigan Athletic FC and Leyton Orient FC, scheduled for August 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Wigan Athletic FC vs. Leyton Orient FC match originally scheduled for August 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The event evaluates multiple thresholds for total goals scored in the Wigan versus Leyton Orient professional EFL League One soccer match scheduled for August 22, 2026. Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the combined goals exceed a specified threshold—ranging from 0.5 to 5.5 goals—within the standard 90 minutes plus any stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalty kicks. All markets are independent, meaning each threshold is assessed separately based on the same match outcome. Kalshi explicitly disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league, and all associated trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Differences stem from varying user bases, liquidity levels, and design choices between Polymarket and Kalshi. For example, Polymarket might attract more international traders focused on broader narratives, while Kalshi could see heavier betting from local fans. These dynamics shift probabilities independently, producing distinct pricing even for the same question.
