This market tracks whether specific artists will perform live during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final halftime show on July 19, 2026 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. On Polymarket, Tems has a 10.0% probability of performing, while Post Malone carries a 10.0% probability. Resolution will be determined by footage of the halftime show and credible reporting from FIFA and media outlets. Watch for FIFA's official announcement of the halftime show lineup, which typically comes in the months leading up to the July 19, 2026 event.
FIFA has confirmed that the first World Cup halftime show will take place at the FIFA World Cup Final on July 19, 2026 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The show will be produced by Global Citizen. This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed individual performs live and in person at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final halftime show on July 19, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A qualifying performance includes any live appearance during the halftime show, including guest appearances, even if the artist does not perform a full set. If this event is cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled beyond September 30, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be footage of the FIFA World Cup Final halftime show, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect decentralized trader sentiment rather than bookmaker risk management. Sportsbooks typically offer limited halftime performer betting and adjust lines to balance liability. Prediction markets, by contrast, aggregate continuous real-money forecasts from a global crowd without the same commercial constraints. This can result in different probabilities for the same outcome, with prediction markets sometimes leading or lagging sportsbook consensus depending on information flow and trader activity.
The market is scheduled to resolve on Jul 19, 2026, coinciding with the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final. Resolution is determined by official confirmation of which artist or group performs during the halftime show. Once FIFA and the tournament organizers announce the performer, the market settles based on that authoritative source. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The specificity of the market—focused on the final match halftime slot—ensures a clear, verifiable resolution event.
Key catalysts include official FIFA announcements regarding halftime entertainment, artist statements or social media hints about World Cup involvement, and major news about performer availability or scheduling conflicts. Contract negotiations or leaked details about the selection process can shift trader expectations significantly. Major world events, artist health issues, or geopolitical developments affecting the tournament itself may also influence odds. Additionally, as the event date approaches, increased media speculation and insider reporting typically drive volatility, with prices converging toward the actual performer as the announcement draws near.
