This event group tracks where professional footballer Yan Diomande will transfer next, with markets across Polymarket and Kalshi offering binary and categorical outcomes. The resolution hinges on identifying his official next club by specified deadlines in 2026, with fallback rules for non-transfer scenarios.
This market will resolve to the next team Yan Diomande officially joins by September 1, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. If Yan Diomande does not officially join a new team by September 1, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "RB Leipzig". If Yan Diomande joins a team that is not listed, this market will resolve to "Other". If Yan Diomande is released, retires, or is not under contract with any professional team by September 1, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". An official transfer announcement prior to the market's close date will immediately resolve this market to the corresponding option. The primary resolution sources for this market will be official announcements from RB Leipzig and/or the acquiring team. A consensus of credible media reporting may also be used to resolve the market.
Yan Diomande's next club is determined by official announcements of his transfer or contract status before October 2, 2026. A market resolves Yes if Diomande signs a contract with the specified club via transfer fee or as a free agent, is loaned to that club (temporary registration transfer), re-signs or extends an existing contract with that club, or if an official agreement is announced for him to join that club at a future date (such as a pre-contract or transfer effective in a subsequent window). If Diomande signs with a club and is immediately loaned out, only the signing club's market resolves Yes and all others resolve No. If Diomande is already signed to a club, that club's market resolves Yes if he remains without transferring or if he re-signs or extends his contract. If Diomande's current contract expires and he has not signed with any club, all markets resolve No.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and regulatory frameworks. Polymarket may see heavier volume on one destination outcome, while Kalshi distributes bets more evenly across multiple clubs. User base composition, fee structures, and platform-specific incentives shape how quickly new information is priced in. Arbitrage traders exploit these gaps, but temporary spreads persist due to friction costs and geographic or demographic differences in who trades each venue.
Key catalysts include official transfer window activity, club statements, and injury or performance updates affecting his valuation. Contract negotiations, managerial changes at potential destination clubs, and competing bids all influence trader conviction. Media reports of interest from specific teams can trigger sharp repricing. Regulatory or financial developments—such as a club's spending capacity or UEFA sanctions—may also shift odds. Late-stage confirmations or denials from credible sources typically drive the largest moves as resolution approaches.
