This group asks forecasters to predict which movie will be the most popular on Netflix globally for a given week. Resolution depends on the official Netflix Top 10 list, which ranks movies by total viewing hours.
Netflix is expected to update its global Top 10 movies list on top10.netflix.com on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 3:00 PM ET, reflecting viewership from the previous week (Monday to Sunday). This market will resolve based on which movie this update ranks as the #1 global Netflix movie. If multiple movies tie for #1, this market will resolve according to the movie whose listed title comes first alphabetically. The ranking is based on total views globally, as reported by Netflix for Global Top 10 Movies (English only). If the top10.netflix.com update does not occur by September 18, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
Each market resolves based on whether a specific movie ranks #1 on Netflix's Top 10 Global Movie chart for the week ending the Sunday before September 15, 2026. The chart is published on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, and all markets close at 11:59 PM ET the preceding Monday. Only the movie achieving the highest position on that chart determines the resolving outcome — if it matches the market's named movie, that market resolves to Yes; all others resolve to No. No endorsement or affiliation exists between Netflix and the market operator; references to Netflix are purely descriptive.
Prediction market odds often provide a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. Analysts typically rely on pre-release buzz, star power, and genre trends, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. The real-time price discovery process in this market can incorporate a wider range of data points and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. While analyst opinions can be valuable, the financial stake held by traders in this market frequently leads to more accurate forecasts, especially as the event draws closer.
