Netflix is expected to update its Top 10 TV shows list on top10.netflix.com on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, 3:00 PM ET, reflecting viewership from the previous week (Monday to Sunday). This market will resolve based on which show this update ranks as the #2 US Netflix show. Shows will be primarily ranked by chart ranking. If two or more shows are tied on chart ranking, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the shows' listed titles. This market will resolve to the show that occupies the second-highest finishing position after applying this ranking. The ranking is based on total views in the United States, as reported by Netflix for TV shows. If the top10.netflix.com update does not occur by August 21, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".

On Polymarket, the current odds reflect trader sentiment about which show might claim the second spot on Netflix this week. Analyst forecasts often weigh factors like release timing, genre trends, and early viewer engagement. While analysts may publish their expectations via reports or media appearances, this market offers a real-time alternative that aggregates crowd-sourced predictions. The difference between analyst picks and market odds can highlight where public interest diverges from expert opinion, making this market a dynamic barometer of shifting viewer preferences.
This market resolves around Aug 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official Netflix rankings for that week will determine the #2 position, closing all bets and fixing the final payout for participants based on their positions.
Several signals could sway this market before it settles. Key catalysts include new episode releases, celebrity endorsements, or viral moments that drive binge-watching. Streaming charts, social media trends, and media coverage all feed into trader decisions. Any surprise drop or resurgence in popularity for competing shows may also shift probabilities. As Aug 18, 2026 approaches, real-time viewing data and weekend binge patterns will likely cause sharp price movements, especially if a show gains unexpected momentum in the final days.
