These markets evaluate how many points are scored in a specific quarter of a college football game between Western Michigan and Michigan. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that quarter.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the third quarter of the Western Michigan vs Michigan college football game scheduled for September 5, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold (ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points) that must be exceeded for the market to resolve to 'Yes'. Only points scored during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs about the outcome. Therefore, you might find that the implied probability of a certain point total in this market differs from what’s offered at sportsbooks. These differences can arise from varying information sources, biases, or simply a different assessment of the teams involved. It’s useful to compare both to inform your trading decisions.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point totals for the 3rd quarter. The price of each contract indicates the probability of that specific total occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the collective expectation. This dynamic pricing mechanism means that the market is constantly updating its forecast based on the latest insights and trading activity. The most actively traded contracts will typically have the tightest spreads.
This market resolves around Sep 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official total points scored in the third quarter of the Western Michigan vs Michigan football game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and used to determine which contracts pay out. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual total will receive a payout, while those holding contracts for different totals will not. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objective data.
Several signals could influence the price of contracts in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Western Michigan or Michigan would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions impacting scoring, could also shift expectations. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first and second quarters, especially if one team establishes a dominant lead or demonstrates a particular offensive or defensive strategy, could lead to adjustments in the market price. Public betting patterns and expert analysis can also influence trading activity and, consequently, the market’s direction.
