These markets track how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Western Kentucky and Indiana. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific period.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Western Kentucky vs Indiana college football game scheduled for September 19, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored during regulation 4th quarter play count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, trading continues and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams’ strengths and weaknesses. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available leading up to the game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. Each contract represents a potential total points outcome for the fourth quarter. The price of a contract indicates the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving expectations. The market efficiently aggregates information from a diverse set of participants, providing a real-time assessment of the likely outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the fourth quarter is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total points scored by both Western Kentucky and Indiana in the fourth quarter will be used to determine which contracts payout. The official game statistics, as reported by a trusted sports data provider, will serve as the definitive source for the resolution of this market. Traders will then receive payouts based on the final outcome.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or changes to team strategy would likely cause significant movement. Unexpected weather conditions, especially if they impact the style of play, could also shift expectations. In-game performance during the first three quarters might lead traders to reassess their predictions about the fourth quarter’s scoring potential. Any significant shift in public sentiment, even if not directly tied to concrete information, can also impact trading activity and prices.
