This set of markets focuses on predicting the total points scored by both Western Kentucky and Georgia during the third quarter of their college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points, and the outcome depends on whether the combined score exceeds that threshold.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the third quarter of the Western Kentucky vs Georgia college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 5.5, 7.5 points, etc.), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant number of people believe a particular result is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the total points scored in the 3rd quarter. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price fluctuates, providing a dynamic representation of expectations. The current price indicates what traders are collectively willing to pay for a contract that pays out if the total points fall within a specific range.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total points scored in the 3rd quarter of the Western Kentucky vs Georgia game will be used to determine the winning contracts. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and verified against credible public sources. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual total points will receive a payout, while those holding losing contracts will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Western Kentucky or Georgia teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also move the market. Furthermore, any late-breaking information about team strategies or coaching decisions could influence traders’ expectations and cause the price to shift. Public sentiment and betting trends in sportsbooks could also play a role.
