This set of markets evaluates how many points will be scored in the first quarter of a college football game between Western Kentucky and Georgia. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored, and the outcome depends on whether the combined score exceeds that threshold.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the first quarter of the Western Kentucky vs Georgia college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold (ranging from 2.5 to 27.5 points); if the actual points scored exceed the threshold, the market resolves to Yes. Only points scored in the first quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the unique dynamics of each venue. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available and traders adjust their positions.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of a particular outcome occurring – in this case, the total score falling within a specific range in the first quarter. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price fluctuates, providing a real-time assessment of the expected outcome. The current price reflects the aggregated beliefs of all participants on Kalshi.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total score of the first quarter between Western Kentucky and Georgia will be used to determine whether contracts predicting over or under a certain point total will pay out. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective outcome for all traders in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Western Kentucky or Georgia would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring a high- or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. Finally, any significant shifts in public perception or expert analysis regarding the teams' offensive capabilities could lead to traders adjusting their positions and moving the market.
