These markets evaluate different thresholds of points scored by both teams combined in the first half of a college football game. Each threshold represents a specific point total that, if exceeded, determines the outcome of that particular market.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the first half of the Western Kentucky vs Georgia college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold: if the combined first-half points exceed that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the first half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines due to the diverse information incorporated by traders. Sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individuals, potentially revealing insights that sportsbooks may have overlooked. Over time, prediction market prices often become more accurate forecasts than traditional odds, especially as more information becomes available and trading volume increases. However, discrepancies can persist due to differing risk appetites and information access.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible outcomes for the 1st half total. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time assessment of the expected result. The market’s depth, indicated by the bid-ask spread, reveals how readily traders are willing to exchange contracts at different price points.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the first half of the Western Kentucky vs Georgia game will be used to determine the winning contract. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and will be publicly available shortly after the conclusion of the first half. Traders holding the winning contract will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market leading up to game time. Any news regarding key player injuries or changes in team strategy for either Western Kentucky or Georgia would likely cause significant movement. Weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also play a role. Furthermore, public betting patterns and any significant shifts in expert analysis regarding the game’s expected point total could drive trading activity and alter the market’s price. Unexpected announcements about starting lineups could also have a substantial impact.
