Typically, prediction market odds tend to be more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially closer to the event date. This is because prediction markets aggregate the wisdom of the crowd, incentivizing participants to make well-informed predictions. While sportsbooks may adjust lines based on betting action and house biases, this market reflects a broader range of perspectives. However, initial odds on Polymarket may differ from those found at sportsbooks, as they represent distinct pools of bettors and varying levels of information. It’s useful to compare both to gain a comprehensive view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome.
