This event is for the CBB game between West Virginia Mountaineers and Creighton Bluejays on April 4 at 4:00 PM ET.
If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed.
If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50.
Kalshi's market structure is fundamentally broken: both possible outcomes (Creighton wins OR West Virginia wins) resolve to YES, making the market logically unresolvable. Polymarket correctly structures mutually exclusive outcomes where exactly one team's victory resolves to that team's name.
Hero Tip:
Do not trade the Kalshi moneyline market. It contains a logical contradiction that makes settlement impossible. All trading should occur on Polymarket, which has coherent binary and derivative markets (spreads, totals) with proper mutually exclusive resolution outcomes.
Critical Divergence Points:
Kalshi: Outlier: Contains a critical logical error. Both market conditions state 'then the market resolves to Yes' — 'If Creighton wins...then Yes' AND 'If West Virginia wins...then Yes' — meaning every possible outcome resolves YES, leaving no NO outcome possible. This violates basic binary market structure and makes the market unresolvable.
Polymarket: Aligned with standard sports betting logic: Provides 25 coherent markets with mutually exclusive outcomes. The moneyline resolves to 'West Virginia Mountaineers' if WVU wins and 'Creighton Bluejays' if Creighton wins. All derivative markets (spreads at -1.5, -4.5, -6.5, -7.5, -9.5, -10.5, -11.5, -13.5, -14.5, -16.5, -17.5 and totals at 133.5, 134.5, 136.5, 141.5, 143.5, 147.5, 150.5, 151.5, 153.5, 154.5, 155.5, 156.5) are properly structured with clear resolution thresholds and mutually exclusive outcomes.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet.
