If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public sentiment strongly disagrees with the sportsbook's initial assessment. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market incorporates the wisdom of the crowd, potentially identifying undervalued or overvalued outcomes. It’s common to see differences in implied probabilities between the two.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the latest information and sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date predictions.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official score of the West Ham United FC vs. London City Lionesses match will be used to determine the winning share(s) in this market. The resolution will be based on the official result published by the governing football authorities. Any disputes regarding the official score will be resolved based on the official records available at that time, ensuring a fair and transparent outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the price action in this market. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either West Ham United or London City Lionesses would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions on match day could also impact predictions. Unexpected announcements related to team management or key personnel could also move the market. Furthermore, significant betting activity or large trades on Polymarket itself can create momentum and influence price movements as traders react to new information or changing sentiment.
