Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines due to differing information and incentives. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs about the probability of each outcome. As more information becomes available – such as team news or weather forecasts – the odds in this market may converge or diverge from those offered by sportsbooks. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast outcomes, especially when a significant amount of volume is traded.
