If the player is scratched, not in the starting lineup, or fails to record a plate appearance, the market resolves to the fair market price. Pinch-hit at-bats are excluded from hit calculations. Only players who start and record at least one plate appearance contribute to the market outcome, which is determined solely by the total hits they accumulate during their active time at bat.
