If either pitcher is scratched or does not start, the market resolves at fair market price. If a pitcher enters the game in relief without starting, the market also resolves at fair market price, as relief appearances do not count toward the required outs. Only outs recorded by a starting pitcher who throws at least one pitch are considered for settlement.
