This event tracks the combined scoring performance of two football teams in an upcoming match, focusing on how many times they successfully cross the goal line. The outcome depends entirely on the game's offensive efficiency and scoring opportunities. All markets resolve based on the official game result, including any additional periods.
All markets for this event resolve based on the total number of touchdowns scored by both Washington and Dallas during their Pro Football game scheduled for September 20, 2026. Each market has a different threshold (ranging from 3 to 8 touchdowns) that must be met or exceeded for the market to resolve to 'Yes'. Touchdowns scored in overtime count toward the total. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original scheduled time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the final official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets will resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific touchdown threshold they selected.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which are set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or react quickly to news, while this market aggregates the opinions of many individuals. Over time, prediction markets often prove more accurate than traditional betting odds, especially as more information becomes available and trading volume increases. However, sportsbook odds can be a useful benchmark for understanding public perception and comparing to the collective forecast expressed through this market.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction format. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the total number of touchdowns scored in the Washington vs Dallas game. The price of a contract indicates the probability of that specific outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective prediction. The closer we get to the game, the more the price will likely move as new information, like injury reports, becomes available.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total number of touchdowns scored by both the Washington and Dallas teams during the official game will determine the result. This includes touchdowns scored by any means – rushing, passing, or on special teams. The final tally will be sourced from official game statistics and verified against reliable sports news outlets, establishing the definitive outcome for this market.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Key player injuries to quarterbacks, running backs, or wide receivers on either team would likely cause price fluctuations. Unexpected weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also influence scoring expectations. Major news regarding team strategies or coaching decisions might also move the market. Finally, any significant shifts in public sentiment, perhaps driven by expert analysis or media coverage, could affect trading activity and alter the price of contracts in this market.
