This set of markets evaluates individual player and team defensive performances in an upcoming Pro Football game, using a standardized fantasy-point scoring system. Each market focuses on whether specific players or the defensive units achieve designated fantasy-point thresholds during the full game, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based on fantasy points accumulated by specified players or defensive units in the full game (including overtime) between Washington and Dallas, using Sleeper’s default full-PPR scoring system. A player or defensive unit exceeds the stated threshold if their published fantasy-point total at market expiration is strictly above the listed value; values are not rounded, and post-expiration score corrections are disregarded. Any player not participating or lacking a published score is treated as having scored zero points. The scoring system awards points for passing, rushing, receiving, kicking, defensive/special teams plays, and reflects penalties for interceptions, missed kicks, and fumbles lost. Defensive unit points also incorporate points allowed benchmarks.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade, expressing their own informed opinions. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment differs from the sportsbook's initial assessment. It's common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, particularly as new information emerges or as the event draws closer.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. As more people buy contracts for a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism means the odds are constantly adjusting based on supply and demand, offering a real-time assessment of expectations for the Washington vs Dallas fantasy point totals.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official fantasy point totals for the Washington vs Dallas game are verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the final, official statistics from a recognized fantasy sports data provider. The market will determine which contracts pay out based on whether the actual fantasy point totals exceed or fall below the levels specified in the contracts offered on Kalshi.
Several factors could influence this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or even weather conditions could significantly shift expectations and move the odds. Performance in previous games, updated player projections from fantasy analysts, and even social media sentiment can all play a role. Unexpected developments during the game itself, such as a key player having an unusually high or low-scoring performance, could also cause substantial movement in this market right up until it resolves.
