Description

This event group contains two distinct markets about a Washington Nationals vs. Baltimore Orioles MLB game. The 'predict' platform market resolves on the full-game winner, while the 'kalshi' platform market resolves on whether either team scores in the first inning only. These are fundamentally different events with different scopes and resolution criteria.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Scope divergence: predict market resolves on full-game winner outcome, while kalshi market resolves on first-inning run occurrence. These are distinct events with different resolution criteria and cannot be unified.Hero tip: These markets measure different things. Do not assume correlation. A Yes resolution on kalshi (first-inning run) has no bearing on predict market outcome (game winner). Trade each market independently based on its specific resolution criteria.

Critical divergence points:

  • predict: Full-game winner market. Resolves to Washington Nationals if they win the full game, or Baltimore Orioles if they win the full game. Postponement keeps market open; cancellation/tie resolves 50-50. Source: Official final statistics from governing body or credible reporting consensus within 24 hours.
  • kalshi: First-inning run occurrence market. Resolves to Yes if either team scores any run during the first inning of the game scheduled for Jun 27, 2026 at 7:05 PM EDT. Binary Yes/No resolution on a single inning event only.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Kalshi

If either team scores a run in the first inning of the Washington vs Baltimore professional baseball game originally scheduled for Jun 27, 2026 at 7:05 PM EDT, then the market resolves to Yes.

Predict

In the upcoming MLB game between the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles, scheduled for June 28 at 1:35PM ET: This market will resolve to "Washington Nationals" if the Washington Nationals win the game. This market will resolve to "Baltimore Orioles" if the Baltimore Orioles win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets like those tracked here operate on peer-to-peer pricing rather than sportsbook margins, often reflecting sharper, less-biased probabilities. Sportsbooks build in juice (typically 4–5%) and adjust lines to balance liability; prediction markets instead let supply and demand set prices directly. For first-inning run scenarios, prediction markets may price more granularly around specific pitcher matchups and weather conditions, while traditional sportsbooks may lag slightly in incorporating late-breaking lineup changes. Both venues attract different trader profiles—prediction markets draw quantitative bettors, while sportsbooks serve casual recreational players.

Key catalysts include last-minute lineup announcements, bullpen or starting pitcher changes, and weather updates affecting ball carry and visibility. Injury reports on star hitters or defensive players can shift run-scoring probability significantly. Pre-game betting action and sharp money flowing into one side often signals new information or model adjustments. Historical head-to-head matchups and recent team form—particularly early-inning performance trends—also influence trader conviction. Once the game begins, the first few pitches and any early baserunning activity will trigger rapid repricing as live data replaces pre-game forecasts.
