This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns are caught by players from each team during a college football matchup. The outcome depends solely on the number of passes successfully turned into points by offensive players, with specific thresholds defined for each team.
All markets resolve based on the official number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team during the Washington St. vs Washington college football game scheduled for Sep 6, 2026, including any overtime periods. A receiving touchdown is counted only when the player who catches the pass scores the touchdown themselves; touchdowns scored by other players after recovering a fumble by the original receiver do not count, unless the receiver recovers their own fumble and scores. Successful 2-point conversions are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original start time, all markets remain active and resolve according to the final official result. If the game fails to start within this 48-hour window, markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all team trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – and as the event draws nearer, you may see the probabilities on Kalshi converge or diverge from traditional sportsbook odds, depending on how the market interprets the new data. This comparison can be a valuable tool for informed decision-making.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. As more people buy contracts for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling contracts lowers the price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a contract represents the cost to hold one unit of exposure to that outcome, and the market dynamically adjusts to reflect the collective expectations of all participants. This creates a real-time probability assessment of the event.
This market resolves around Sep 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether each team scores at least one touchdown during the Washington St vs Washington game. Official game statistics will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. The final prices on Kalshi at resolution will represent the actual probabilities assigned to each outcome by the market leading up to the game's conclusion.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Washington St or Washington would likely cause shifts in probabilities. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable or unfavorable for passing or running, could also impact the market. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic adjustments announced before the game could also move prices. Finally, any significant public sentiment shifts, perhaps fueled by expert analysis or media coverage, could influence trading activity on Kalshi and alter the probabilities.
