These markets evaluate how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football matchup, focusing solely on the fourth quarter's performance. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that period.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams collectively in the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) of the Washington St. vs Washington college football game scheduled for September 6, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined fourth-quarter points exceed the stated threshold (2.5, 5.5, 7.5, 10.5, 12.5, 13.5, 16.5, 19.5, 20.5, 23.5, or 27.5), the respective market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored during the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) count. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original scheduled start time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its original scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines due to the influence of public perception and varying levels of information. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own modeling and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. Over time, prediction market prices often become more accurate than traditional odds, as they incorporate a broader range of insights. However, sportsbook odds can be a useful benchmark for understanding initial expectations surrounding the Washington State vs. Washington game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more people buy contracts predicting a certain result, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations as the event approaches. The current trading volume indicates the level of interest and agreement among traders regarding the 4th quarter total.
