These markets evaluate different scoring thresholds for the second half of a college football game between Washington State and Washington. Each threshold represents a specific point total that, if exceeded by both teams combined, determines the outcome of that particular market.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the second half (excluding overtime) of the Washington St. vs Washington college football game scheduled for September 6, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 6.5, 9.5, etc.), that market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored in the second half—excluding overtime—are counted. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the aggregate belief of informed traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. If a large number of traders believe the sportsbook is undervaluing the probability of a certain outcome, the price in this market will move accordingly, potentially offering a better value than traditional sports betting options. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, not guarantees.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of the total points scored in the second half being over or under a specific number. Traders set the odds by placing bids and asks, and the market price reflects the point at which buyers and sellers agree. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price represents the probability of the 'yes' outcome (total points over the specified line) being true at the time of resolution. As more traders participate, the price converges towards what the market believes is the true probability.
This market resolves around Sep 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the second half of the Washington State versus Washington football game will be used to determine whether the 'yes' or 'no' outcome prevails. A 'yes' outcome means the total points scored will be over the line established on Kalshi at the time of resolution, while a 'no' outcome means it will be under. The result will be based on official game statistics.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Washington State or Washington would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable for high or low scoring, could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions, or even significant shifts in public sentiment reflected in other polls or analyses, could all contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
