This set of markets tracks the point differential in an upcoming college football game, allowing participants to speculate on how decisively either team might win. Each market corresponds to a specific margin of victory, with outcomes determined by the final score of the contest.
All markets resolve based on the official final result of the Washington St. vs Kansas St. college football game scheduled for Sep 12, 2026. If Kansas St. wins by a margin exceeding the specified threshold in any of the first 22 rules, that market resolves to Yes; if Washington St. wins by a margin exceeding the threshold in rules 23 through 27, those respective markets resolve to Yes. For any market where the winning team’s point differential does not meet or exceed the stated threshold, the market resolves to No. Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of its original start time, all markets remain active and resolve according to the final result. If the game fails to start within this 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants under these contingency conditions.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the 'wisdom of the crowd' and can differ from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their initial odds based on their own analysis and aim to balance betting action on both sides. This market, however, allows anyone to trade, and the price adjusts based on collective belief. If a significant number of traders believe the sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, they can take positions that drive the prediction market odds in a different direction. Over time, prediction markets have demonstrated a strong ability to forecast event outcomes accurately.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different spread outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as they profit if their beliefs align with the eventual result. The market dynamically adjusts as new information becomes available and traders update their assessments of the game’s likely outcome, creating a constantly evolving forecast.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final point spread will be determined by the official result of the Washington State versus Kansas State football game. The market will settle based on which side of the spread the final score falls. No further information about the resolution process is available at this time. Traders should monitor official sources for confirmation of the game's final score and the resulting market settlement.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Sep 12, 2026. Any significant news regarding player injuries, coaching changes, or team performance could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather forecasts impacting game conditions are also likely to cause movement. Furthermore, large volume trades from informed participants could signal new information or a change in market expectations. Public perception, as reflected in polls or expert analysis, may also play a role, although the market is ultimately driven by trading activity on Kalshi.
