This set of markets focuses on predicting the total points scored by both teams specifically in the fourth quarter of an upcoming college football game. The outcomes depend solely on the combined scoring in that final period, ignoring any points from earlier quarters or overtime.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) of the specified college football game. Each market has a different threshold, ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points. If the cumulative fourth-quarter points exceed the stated threshold for a given market, that market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Postponements are accounted for: if the game starts within 48 hours of the original time, it proceeds as scheduled. If not, markets resolve to a fair price. All markets operate independently, with each threshold evaluated separately against the actual fourth-quarter scoring.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market relies on individuals expressing their beliefs about the likely outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. Examining these differences can be insightful, as each represents a distinct form of forecasting regarding the final quarter's scoring in the Washington State vs Kansas State game.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the 4th quarter of the Washington State vs Kansas State game will be used to determine whether the total points scored exceed 7.5. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring an objective and verifiable result. Traders holding contracts on the correct side of the outcome will receive a payout, while those on the incorrect side will forfeit their stake.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Washington State or Kansas State would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect the scoring environment, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected in-game developments during the first three quarters, such as a dominant performance by one team, might shift expectations and drive price fluctuations. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of the likely 4th quarter scoring will likely move this market.
