In the upcoming NWSL game between Washington Spirit and Houston Dash, scheduled for July 3, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Washington Spirit vs. Houston Dash match originally scheduled for July 3, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets are driven purely by trader conviction and information flow. For an exact-score outcome, sportsbooks typically offer limited scoreline options with fixed margins, whereas this market allows traders to price every conceivable result. Over time, prediction markets have demonstrated accuracy in capturing ground-truth probabilities, especially when liquidity is robust and diverse participants contribute their views.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism where traders deposit collateral and receive shares representing their chosen outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each exact-score outcome is determined by the ratio of shares outstanding and the depth of liquidity available for that result. As traders buy shares in a particular scoreline, its price rises; conversely, selling pressure lowers it. This continuous repricing ensures that odds remain responsive to new information and reflect the marginal trader's assessment of probability right up until the market closes.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the Washington Spirit versus Houston Dash match concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The winning outcome is the exact scoreline recorded at the end of regulation time; outcomes are confirmed through official league records and widely reported sports data. No overtime or penalty shootout results factor into the resolution. Traders holding shares in the correct final score receive their payout, while all other positions expire worthless.
Key catalysts for price movement include team injury announcements, lineup changes, recent form and head-to-head history, and weather conditions on match day. Shifts in betting markets and media narratives about either squad's offensive or defensive strength can also influence trader positioning. As the match approaches, real-time updates—such as confirmed starting lineups or late-breaking roster news—often trigger sharp repricing across all scoreline outcomes. Close to kickoff, any last-minute tactical adjustments or injury confirmations may compress or widen the odds on specific score ranges, particularly low-scoring or high-scoring scenarios.
