Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms and risk models. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their liability and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders themselves—meaning odds reflect genuine belief about outcomes rather than a bookmaker's spread. This market aggregates the collective judgment of many independent traders, which can sometimes align with or diverge from traditional sportsbook pricing depending on information flow, trader sophistication, and capital concentration. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where sharp bettors may be positioning ahead of kickoff.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time probabilities for each exact score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares corresponding to specific scorelines, and the cumulative volume and order flow determine the odds displayed for each result. The top outcome currently reflects strong trader conviction, though prices can shift rapidly as new information emerges or as large trades move the market. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the odds stay responsive to evolving expectations about team form, injuries, and other game-day factors.
This market resolves around Jul 26, 2026, once the match concludes and the final scoreline is confirmed. The outcome is determined by the official result verified against credible public sources covering the game. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score receive their payout, while all other positions expire worthless. The resolution process is automated once the final score is publicly available, ensuring a transparent and timely settlement for all participants.
Several catalysts can shift odds in this market before kickoff and during the match. Team news—such as injury announcements, lineup changes, or tactical adjustments—often triggers sharp repricing as traders reassess scoring potential. Weather conditions, venue factors, and recent form can also influence expectations around goal-scoring patterns. Once the game begins, live action directly impacts the odds for remaining possible scorelines; early goals or red cards will dramatically reshape probabilities for final outcomes. Late-breaking information from official team sources or credible sports media typically generates the most significant price movements.
