Washington Freedom and Texas Super Kings will compete in a Major League Cricket match on July 11, 2026. Bettors can wager on whether each team will exceed various run-scoring thresholds during their innings.
Resolution is based on actual runs scored by each team in the completed match. If the match is cancelled before play begins or delayed more than 48 hours from the scheduled start, all markets resolve to fair market price as determined by the Exchange. If play begins but no official result is declared (including via DLS method), markets resolve to fair market price except for statistics already definitively achieved, which resolve on recorded results. If the match is shortened with an official result declared through ICC-approved methods such as DLS, statistical markets resolve based on actual recorded statistics only, without projections or adjustments.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant pools and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money risk. Sportsbook odds tend to move faster on breaking news, whereas prediction markets may lag slightly but often incorporate longer-term sentiment. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where traders see value or disagreement, though each venue serves distinct trading strategies and risk appetites.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts reflecting their belief in different run-total outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices move in real time as new orders arrive, with the spread between bid and ask reflecting liquidity and uncertainty. Each contract represents a discrete outcome, and the price you see is the probability traders are collectively assigning to that result. Deeper order books and higher trading volume typically tighten spreads and improve price discovery.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the Washington Freedom vs Texas Super Kings match concludes and the final run totals are verified. The outcome is determined by the combined runs scored by both teams during the game, confirmed against credible public sources. Traders holding contracts aligned with the actual result receive their payout, while opposing positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final out, allowing quick settlement and payout processing on the platform.
Key catalysts include roster changes, injury announcements, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head historical matchups. Weather conditions on game day—wind speed and temperature significantly affect ball carry and run-scoring pace—often trigger sharp price moves. Betting line shifts at major sportsbooks can signal sharp action and influence prediction market traders. Team momentum, playoff implications, and late-breaking lineup decisions closer to game time typically generate the most volatility. Monitor sports news outlets and official team announcements for updates that could reshape trader expectations in this market.
