Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines to balance betting action, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can express that view through trading activity here. This can lead to discrepancies between the implied probabilities on Polymarket and those offered by sportsbooks. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate information and analysis that isn't immediately reflected in sportsbook lines, especially for niche events.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Olivia Gram or Stefaniya Pushkar will win the match. As more shares are purchased for one outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability of that outcome rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the current consensus of all traders on Polymarket, and it adjusts dynamically as new information becomes available or sentiment shifts. This creates a constantly updating assessment of the likely winner of the Le Neubourg tennis match.
